He previously served as Section Head of Ophthalmology at William Beaumont Hospital, Troy, and currently holds an academic appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Dr Simone is actively involved with mentoring and working with students at Wayne State University School of Medicine where he is immediate past president of the Alumni Association.
